Mitsubishi introduces Triton Double Cab PLUS CNG with Quality Guarantee from Factory
Mitsubishi Motors Thailand to boost pickup market during the fuel price hike by introducing Triton Double Cab Plus CNG to be a choice for customers after previous models - Single Cab and Mega Cab – got warm welcome.
The new line up comes with 3-year warranty and fuel efficiency from Dual-Fuel system, compatible with both CNG and Benzene up to E20 that is suitable for not only commercial but daily uses.
Mr. Koji Nakahara, EVP of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Company Limited (MMTh) informs that the company is going to introduce Mitsubishi Triton Double Cab Plus CNG adding to its CNG line up following Single Cab and Mega Cab CNG which are over company’s expectation which more than 3,600 units were sold last year. He believes that CNG pickup truck market still has continual positive growth in this year.
"According to our survey with CNG users, we found that "More Fuel Economy" is the most important reason they purchased Mitsubishi CNG. Mitsubishi customers think that Mitsubishi CNG can provide a longer distance and meet their demand in term of more economy during fuel price hike with fuel consumption less than 1 baht per kilometer. One more major factor is the 3-year or 100,000 kilometers warranty that helps to increase customer’s confidence followed by "More Value for Money" reflected from a unique Dual-Fuel system that can run on benzene up to Gasohol E20 and CNG. For this year, I still see a positive growth in CNG pickup segment from many factors namely the fuel price situation and increasing number of NGV gas station." Mr. Nakahara pointed.
Based from Mitsubishi Triton Double Cab PLUS 2.4 petrol series, the new model will be equipped with CNG system under company standard with warranty that can run on benzene up to Gasohol E20 and CNG. This model still features with a unique design cargo bed. The CNG tank type II with 100 liter water capacity is located on cargo bed, covered with a special designed bed liner that not only provides safety but also easy to use and maintenance while the sedan-like interior engenders a sense of comfort and purpose such as sport type seat that suitable for both sides , new built-in 7" wide screen monitor with IMT system and new radio DVD player, electronically controlled and foldable door mirrors, a remote keyless entry system with immobilizer providing more comfortable in term of car lock or unlock from long distance and also helps to prevent car thievery.
In terms of safety, the new model provides maximum safety with a lightweight Type II CNG tank while gas leakage has been protected by installing a CNG solenoid control valve. More confident with many items that also have been used in all Mitsubishi Triton models starting from the "Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) Body" construction, equipped with side door impact bar, rack and pinion with power steering enables more reliable and responsive directional handling and cornering controls. The turning radius is only 5.9 meter making Mitsubishi Triton CNG drivability is very dynamic.
